Roe Ethridge
Hailing from Miami, Florida, Roe Ethridge is a photographer known for his luscious colour palette and characterful compositions. He studied photography at The College of Art in Atlanta, Georgia and initially practiced as an art photographer before also working in the commercial sphere. His work has been exhibited at international institutions such as MoMA (New York), Barbican Centre (London) and the Gagosian (Los Angeles). He was shortlisted for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize in 2011 and had his first major retrospective at Le Consortium in Dijon in 2012. Roe lives in the famed Rockaway Beach (which was inspiration for The Ramone’s beloved 1977 hit) in Queens, New York with his wife, fashion model Nancy Hagen.
