Vivienne Westwood
Dame Vivienne Westwood is a much-admired fashion designer, political activist, cultural provocateur, environmental campaigner and cycle enthusiast. A former schoolteacher from Derbyshire, north England, Vivienne has been at the forefront of social change since the early 1970s as one of the most revolutionary and influential designers Britain has produced. In recent years she has extended the politics of her clothes into activism via her manifestos Active Resistance to Propaganda and Climate Revolution, as well as work for organisations such as PETA and CND. Vivienne is married to the designer Andreas Kronthaler and lives in Clapham, south London.
