St. Vincent
The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist St. Vincent is also known as Annie Clark. She creates beguiling music through a compelling fusion of disparate and multifarious sonic ideas. Disney-inspired strings, polysemous lyrics, cabaret jazz and scuzzy rock references, and a wildly elaborate pedal board are all gloriously unified in her idiosyncratic sound. Collaborations with Sufjan Stevens and David Byrne have only enhanced Annie’s reputation as a transgressive and experimental musician. Originally from Dallas, Texas, her musical talent was nurtured by her aunt and uncle, the jazz duo Patti and Tuck, before she attended the Berklee College of Music. When not touring Annie lives in Manhattan, New York.
