Mica Levi

The daughter of two musicians, is it any wonder Mica Levi is the proverbial one-woman band? Composing, production, songwriting and singing – she does it all - both in the band Good Sad Happy Bad and as a solo artist, under the name Micachu. A violin player since the age of four, Mica won a scholarship at the prestigious Purcell School for Young Musicians but left for London, releasing a viral mixtape on MySpace. That was just a few years before she was commissioned for write a piece for the London Philharmonic Orchestra, whilst still a student at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. In 2014, she turned her hand to cinematic scores, starting with Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin, for which she received a BAFTA nomination. Her own favourite soundtracks include Vertigo, Chinatown and A Clockwork Orange.
