Tilda Swinton

Actress Tilda Swinton began her career with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, before moving into film in the mid-1980s through her friendship with the director Derek Jarman. She has made close to 50 films over 30 years, gradually shifting from art-house icon to internationally-recognised Oscar-winning star. Tilda now lives in Nairn in the Scottish Highlands with her two children, Xavier and Honor, and her artist boyfriend Sandro Kopp.
