Tauba Auerbach

Tauba Auerbach is a New York-based artist who uses a variety of approaches (painting, photography, printmaking, installations) to investigate language as a system of logic. After graduating from Stanford University, California, she took a job painting signs in her hometown, indulging an obsession with text she has held since childhood. This preoccupation with text informed one of her most significant works, where in 2006 she reordered the entire Bible alphabetically. Tauba is also fascinated with the possibility of the existence of a fourth dimension of colour.
