Sofie Gråbøl

Pure serendipity led Sofie Gråbøl to her career in acting. In her home country Denmark she has built up a diverse and consistently compelling body of work in theatre and in television. Her international breakthrough role as detective Sarah Lund in The Killing endeared Sofie to a wider global audience, eventually earning her a BAFTA , a best actress award at the Crime Thriller Awards in the UK and a nomination for best actress at the International Emmy Awards in the US. Sofie lives in Copenhagen with her two children.
