Robbie Lawrence

Robbie Lawrence is a Scottish photographer born in Edinburgh and now based in London. An English Literature graduate of the University of St. Andrews, initially Robbie pursued a career in journalism, with a Photo Editor traineeship at The New York Times in Paris, before picking up a camera. Among his first forays were editorial assignments for The New Yorker, Le Monde and the Financial Times. Working primarily in long form documentary, Robbie has photographed projects in the Congo, Faroe Islands and Sierra Leone. He has published several books, his most recent with Stanley Barker, A Voice Above The Linn, illustrated the life and work of botanist Jim Taggart and features poetry from the Scottish poet John Burnside. Robbie is represented by Webber.
