Princess Julia

Beloved doyenne of London’s nightlife, Julia Fodor, aka Princess Julia, has been central to the UK capital’s reputation for fervent creativity and outlandish style since the early 1980s. From the Blitz Kids to Boombox via Kinky Gerlinky, Kashpoint and Nag Nag Nag, Princess Julia has been there, spinning the records that set the dance-floors of these legendary clubs ablaze, welcoming misfits and mavericks to join her in nocturnal glamour. Julia continues her reign as matriarch of the underground into the 2010s as a regular contributor to publications such as i-D, The Beat and Dazed & Confused, and as the hostess of that fabulously hazy but gloriously unforgettable party you attended in east London last night.
