Jenny Holzer
Jenny Holzer is a conceptual artist from Gallipolis, Ohio. She is perhaps most famous for her large-scale public works, which consist of billboards, projections on buildings and LED text featuring confrontational aphorisms such as “MONEY CREATES TASTE” or “PROTECT ME FROM WHAT I WANT”. Jenny has recently diversified into silk-screen paintings and dance works – in 2010 she collaborated with the choreographer Miguel Gutierrez at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston for the Co-Lab series. Jenny has permanent displays in the holdings of international museums and collections such as Novartis HQ in Switzerland, Guggenheim Bilbao, Hamburger Kunsthalle and Vassar College, New York.
