Jennifer Egan
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jennifer Egan was born in Chicago and grew up in San Francisco. She now lives in Brooklyn with her husband, a theatre director, their two young sons and a cat, Cuddles. Jennifer decided to become a writer when backpacking across Europe in 1981. This trip informed her first novel The Invisible Circus (1995), which was made into a movie in 2001. Jennifer strives to write five to seven pages per day by hand before picking up her boys from school. In addition to the five books she has written, Jennifer also contributes journalism to The New York Times Magazine.
