Jekka McVicar

Jekka McVicar is the UK’s premier authority on herbs and organic gardening. From her Glouchestershire-based farm, home to the largest collection of herbs in the UK, Jekka dispenses advice and instruction on all things herbaceous. Jamie Oliver, Raymond Blanc and Heston Blumenthal have all called upon Jekka’s superior knowledge to plan herb nurseries of their own. Before embarking on her career as an award-winning horticulturist, Jekka worked for the BBC drama department and then the Bristol police force. Such skills have stood her well in the fiercely competitive world of garden shows.
