Isabel Marant
What did women wear before Isabel Marant? Such is the designer’s popularity and influence today it’s difficult to imagine a pre-Marant world. After graduating from France’s illustrious Studio Berçot in 1987, Isabel interned with Michel Klein and assisted the art director Marc Ascoli. In 1994 she established her eponymous label, which she has built “brick by brick” into an empire comprising nine international stores and two lines, with signature shoes that sell 80,000 pairs per annum. Isabel is married to accessories designer Jerome Dreyfuss and they live in Paris with their son.
