Andrea Zittel
Andrea Zittel is a sculptor and installation artist from Escondido, California, who studied at San Diego State University and at Rhode Island School of Design. Her work examines how people live their daily lives and is aimed at discovering what we can live without. These questions are expressed in functional objects that fulfil basic needs, such as food, shelter and clothing. Her A-Z encampment in Joshua Tree is the real-life manifestation of Andrea’s philosophy, which is open to any creative individual seeking to find a new perspective via her ascetic brand of living.
