David Sims

Born in Yorkshire, England, David Sims emerged from London’s fertile creative scene of the 1990s, to establish himself as one of fashion’s key photographers. Via his pioneering work with the stylists Melanie Ward and Anna Cockburn, through to his ongoing collaborations with figures such as Joe McKenna, David has been at the forefront of modernising fashion photography over the past three decades. His work for Calvin Klein, Jil Sander, Prada and Yohji Yamamoto are among fashion’s most revered and recognizable and he also has works in the permanent collections of Tate Modern and the Victoria & Albert Museum. David is married to designer Luella Bartley, and divides his time between London and Cornwall. David is represented by Art Partner.
